You can change the bell pepper for whatever other vegetables you have in the refrigerator and replace the celery salt with sea salt or stock powder to make the process easier.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rub the celery salt all over the steak pieces.

Pour the water into the baking dish and lay both steaks in the water.

Sprinkle the diced vegetables and garlic over the steaks, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked but still crunchy and the steak is medium-rare.

Serve with mashed, boiled or roast potatoes.

Tip

Defrost frozen cube steaks in the refrigerator. Defrosted beef can be stored in the refrigerator for up to five days, according to the United States Department of Agriculture. During this time, you can safely refreeze the beef. Pat the raw steak with a paper towel before cooking to promote browning, as per Beef Culinary Center suggestions.
