Meghan Markle's French Fries and Wine, Plus 12 Other Celebrities' Guilty Food Pleasures
Celebrities are just like us in some ways, including their love for foods that are typically frowned upon by nutritionists.
Overview
In an ideal world, we would always choose to eat healthy food and ignore the pull of something sweet or something salty. Unfortunately, the real world is full of fatty, sugary, processed foods that not only taste great but also continuously tempt us away from our protein bowls and superfoods.
Maybe that's OK every once in awhile. Part of developing a healthy relationship with food is learning how and when to say yes to our indulgences. Just look at these successful Hollywood stars who admit to occasionally eating junk food. Read on to discover what guilty food cravings you may have in common with your favorite celebs — and then remember to call it a cheat day, not a cheat week.
1. Miranda Kerr: Hot Chocolate
Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr loves a little hot chocolate, but she won't settle for the kind you'll find in a box. She shared her recipe for gourmet hot choc in an interview with Vogue Australia, including ingredients like raw cacao, coconut oil, almond butter, honey and Himalayan sea salt.
But when the hot cocoa craving comes on strong and she doesn't have all of her favorite ingredients on-hand, Kerr can be extremely resourceful. The 35-year-old model told People that she once tried to order some chocolatey goodness via her hotel's room service. But when the staff said they didn't have any, Kerr found a way around this particular hurdle. "I had some chocolate in the fridge so I got the chocolate and then I put hot water with it, and then a little milk. So I made my own!"

2. Mindy Kaling: McDonald’s
Mindy Kaling's obsession with McDonald's is well documented, and the proof is plastered all over her Instagram feed. While she denied being a spokeswoman for the company in an interview with Conan O'Brien, she admitted that the golden arches fit well into her busy schedule and that she eats there about twice a week. And though she supports McDonald's effort to add healthy options to its menu, she won't be ordering them anytime soon. "I like seeing them," she says. "Then I'm like, I'll have a Quarter Pounder, please."

3. Meghan Markle: French Fries and Wine
Meghan Markle is so committed to healthy living that even her wedding cake will be nutritious and seasonal. But while she's been quoted around the internet gushing over things like green smoothies, lemon water and superfoods, she can't say no to two food vices: french fries and wine. "I'm always hoping I'm having lunch with people so we can share fries. It's its own food group for me," she told Delish. As for the vino, she's obsessed with an Italian red called Tignanello. She even went as far as naming her now-defunct lifestyle site The Tig after it.

4. Taylor Swift: Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Pop-Tarts
Back in 2012, Taylor Swift was a rising artist on the brink of massive stardom with the upcoming release of her album "Red," on which you'll find famous tracks like "22" and "We Are Never Getting Back Together." But in an interview on "Good Morning America" during the promotional tour, she revealed some timeless information: her go-to comfort food. "Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal or Pop-Tarts," she said. Host George Stephanopoulos then revealed that Robert Pattinson shared her same obsession with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which, let's face it, was kind of a big deal in 2012.

5. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson: Pancakes
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson always goes big, whether it's in the gym or for his cheat meals. From plates spilling over with sushi to mountains of fried chicken and piles of cookies, the "Jumanji" star knows how to take advantage of his occasional diet buster. One treat that's been popping up on his feed a lot lately? Pancakes.
In one post, the 45-year-old actor is ready to chow down on a stack of flapjacks while searching for something to watch on Netflix (the eternal struggle). In another, he's posted up with his plate of pancakes in front of "Street Fight," a documentary about Senator Cory Booker. And the list of pancake-inspired cheat meals goes on. After all, as "The Rock" aptly captions most of his cheat meal posts: "Don't cheat yourself, treat yourself."

6. Chrissy Teigen: Doritos Dust
Chrissy Teigen keeps it brutally honest, and we're not just saying that. In an interview with Delish, she revealed that while she obsesses over "clean" eating, she can't resist the flavor of her favorite junk food. Again, the emphasis is on flavor, since she doesn't eat the actual food.
"There's a balance with anything. When I cook, everything is organic and very clean; I'm meticulous and kind of insane about it. But sometimes you just want a Doritos Locos Taco," she said. "I lick off the nacho cheese seasoning and put the chips back in the bag. You still get all the flavor, not all the carbs!" She's a total genius and a little wacky, and we absolutely love her for being equally both.

When Chris Pratt had to get lean for his role in "Jurassic World 2," he let his fans in on every miserable dieting moment with his Instagram series "What's My Snack." But among videos of him munching on cucumber slices and downing healthy smoothies, Pratt posted one tribute to a particularly gratifying cheat meal. In the video, he serenades a scone smothered in cranberry and currant jams, butter and clotted cream just before it meets its untimely end. What's not caught on film? The other six scones Pratt downed in that sitting.

8. Betty White: Red Vines
Betty White doesn't seem to be aging, and, at 96 years old, we have to wonder how this wisecracking comedic legend is still working when many people two-thirds her age are ready to retire. Well, according to her "Hot in Cleveland" co-stars, it's all about the fuel she puts into her body. Hint: It's not exactly what you'd call top-of-the-line nutrition.
"She eats Red Vines, hot dogs, french fries and Diet Coke. If that's key, maybe she's preserved because of all the preservatives," Jane Leeves told UsMagazine.com. "Hot in Cleveland" co-star Wendie Malick confirmed White's diet: "She eats red licorice, like, ridiculously a lot. She seems to exist on hot dogs and French fries." Well, the former Golden Girl's diet may not be nutritious, but at 96 years old, she must be doing something right.

9. LL Cool J: Cookies
LL Cool J works out twice a week and tries to avoid indulging in calorie-rich foods, but he knows when it's time to treat himself. "You've got to stay focused without being boring, because all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Skinny, but dull," he told Bon Appetit.
He did admit, though, that while on set, he'll snack on Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but his true weakness is freshly baked desserts. "Ice cream and cake. I love warm apple pie or peach cobbler or some fresh warm brownies or even cookies," he says. "It's like I'm handcuffed to the table when cookies come out of the oven. You smell them, and whoo!"

11. Martha Stewart: American Cheese Singles
Martha Stewart is the American tastemaker who taught us how to decorate our homes, cook delicious meals and entertain guests — which makes her guilty food pleasure all the more surprising. "My guilty pleasure is not at all interesting: It's a spoon of really good organic peanut butter or a slice of American cheese from my housekeeper's drawer, she told Town & Country."
"I steal American slices sometimes — in the plastic. It's so horrible. But it's such a good snack." Stewart's fave snack (and the fact that she has to steal them from her housekeeper) might be more appropriate for a toddler than a millionaire business mogul, but, hey, there's a reason they call it a "guilty pleasure."

Most Californians can relate to Kylie Jenner's strongest pregnancy craving — even the ones who have never been pregnant. In a video diary tracking her pregnancy, the Kylie Cosmetics entrepreneur revealed that while carrying daughter Stormi Webster, she couldn't stay away from In-N-Out hamburgers. "It's just In-N-Out these days literally tastes like … nothing I've ever had," she tells her doctor during an appointment. 13. Jennifer Lawrence: Chili Pizza Sandwich
Jennifer Lawrence has no trouble telling it like it is, so when she sat down with Glamour for a rapid-fire Q&A, she didn't hesitate to share this gutsy food invention. "It's called a chili pizza sandwich," she explained. "Take a piece of pizza and you put chili in it — like Southern chili, with noodles — and then you put another piece of pizza, and then you eat it like a sandwich." That's a lot to take in. "And I was completely sober," she added with a hint of sarcasm. "Totally sober."
